With to honor the memory of the Center’s founder, Don José Manuel Álvarez Gil, and to encourage literary creativity among young people, Colegio San José announces the XXXII José Manuel Álvarez Gil National Short Story Contest..
Until February 28, 2026, all students who met the requirements set out in the contest rules could register their works on the contest website.
Colegio San José is the first school in the province of Malaga in the Ranking of the 100 Best Schools in Spain published by the newspaper El Mundo.
Forbes Magazine once again places Colegio San José among the 100 Best Schools in Spain.

Nuestro alumno Rubén, que el pasado mes de mayo resultó finalista en la Fase Nacional del Modelo del Parlamento Europeo celebrado en el Palacio de Congresos en Madrid junto con otros cuatro estudiantes de toda España, hoy forman la Delegación Española ante el Parlamento Europeo cuyas sesiones se están celebrando en Estonia.
La delegación tratará temas relacionados con Asuntos Exteriores y Derechos Humanos, Asuntos Económicos y Monetarios, Seguridad y Defensa, Igualdad de Género, e Interior y Libertades Civiles.
Rubén participa en la Comisión de Transporte y Turismo debatiendo sobre el fortalecimiento de la conectividad y la resiliencia de la red de transportes europea ante los actuales desafíos geopolíticos globales y defendiendo el impulso de las conexiones ferroviarias transfronterizas sostenibles, así como la integración estratégica del transporte marítimo y portuario para potenciar el comercio, la seguridad y la competitividad de la UE a nivel internacional.

Our student Rubén, who last May was a finalist in the National Phase of the Model European Parliament held at the Madrid Congress Center, together with four other students from across Spain, today makes up the Spanish Delegation to the European Parliament, whose sessions are currently taking place in Estonia.
The delegation will address topics related to Foreign Affairs and Human Rights, Economic and Monetary Affairs, Security and Defense, Gender Equality, and Civil Liberties and Internal Affairs.
Rubén is participating in the Committee on Transport and Tourism, debating the strengthening of connectivity and resilience in the European transport network amid current global geopolitical challenges. He is advocating for the promotion of sustainable cross-border rail connections, as well as the strategic integration of maritime and port transport to boost EU trade, security, and international competitiveness.
